A thorough visual and location-specific assessment will be conducted that will consider building design, local climate, building materials, building finishing's, shading, drainage and condensation potential. Research will also be conducted on the site history and surrounding industries, to evaluate risk of environmental toxicants / chemicals. Using specific diagnostic instruments such as thermal cameras, moisture meters and thermohydrometers we seek to identify underlying or past mould or moisture issues. Mould is often identified then covered up or cleaned without consideration of what is causing the issue in the first place. Mould sampling can also be conducted. Air and surface samples can be taken and sent to an independent laboratory for analysis. The concentration and types of mould present can then be reported. ERMI (Environmental Relative Moldiness Index) testing and analysis is also offered. This involves taking dust from the property and having a DNA analysis of the dust conducted by an independent laboratory to determine the concentration and species of mould present. Preliminary remote assessments will be available using AEML Laboratories ProAir bioaerosol rental and delivery service to remotely assist the client in conducting their own air sample as well as remote assessment of the local environmental and historical risks of their property. This can be conducted remotely in a limited capacity by researching the property or as a walk-through via video call. Comprehensive onsite inspections are preferred.
