Service Description

Specific air monitoring or air sampling equipment needs to be selected to test for specific potential contaminants. However, a thorough visual assessment and asking relevant questions can often determine potential causes of bad indoor air quality and is a critical part of an overall indoor air quality assessment. We use the best metering equipment available, we calibrate the equipment before use and calibration certificates are available. Building design is assessed, common indoor air pollutants and risk factors are measured instantaneously including Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Temperature and Relative Humidity. Sampling of Ultrafine particles, Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), Chlorine, Dust sampling and VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) including formaldehyde are available upon request. Air-conditioning and ventilation systems can often be the cause of poor indoor air quality due to inadequate fresh air intake, lack of maintenance or incorrect design. As such, thorough assessment of these systems is vital to achieving optimal indoor air quality. If laboratory tests and/or analyses are required, then BWLW will utilise NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) approved laboratories where applicable. This may be required in the case of mould sampling. Comprehensive reports are compiled, results will be explained and effective solutions will be provided. Education will be provided on how to use the existing environment most effectively for optimal health and recommendations made for any additions (air purification), maintenance (cleaning air conditioning) or modifications (referral to builders or drainage specialists to correct design issues). If required a formal written report detailing the observations, results and recommendations will be provided.
